The hotel is located 800 metres from Stari Grad centre on Croatia’s Hvar Island. Often hailed as one of the oldest towns in Europe, Stari Grad is a quaint town filled with cobbled streets, rustic buildings and homely restaurants. Just steps from the hotel, there’s a pebbly beach that has been extended with a long sun deck. Hvar Island is reached via ferry from Split, which takes approximately an hour. You’ll arrive at Stari Grad Faros Ferry Port in Hvar, which is around four miles from the hotel. Ferry Port Split is around 15 miles from Split Airport.
Although compact, the rooms are chic and stylish. Rattan pendant lights and textured cushions add to the allure, as do rustic wooden headboards and cute little desks – a great spot to glam up before an evening out. Size M rooms offer more space but note that storage is limited. Marvel at the pine-dressed hills and glistening seaside from your balcony – complete with a bijou table and chairs.

Trees separate the two areas, hiding a winding pathway and relaxing gardens with seating – including quirky thatched pods. The pebbly beach is mostly shaded by pines, although a large sun deck has been added to provide sunbathing space and gentler water access.
Soothe any aches with a treatment in the outdoor spa, which includes an open-air relax zone with a whirlpool. You won’t be short of things to do either, with courts for basketball, football and tennis as well as an outdoor gym. There’s plenty of water sports on offer or you can explore the coast by bike. Dining here is all about good vibes, with relaxed seating, seriously tasty Mediterranean food and healthy locally sourced ingredients. Start your day with a buffet breakfast at Places – think flaky pastries, spreads of fruit and warming breads. It’s here that a la carte lunch and dinner is also served. Don’t worry if you don’t make it to lunch or dinner, with PLACES FLEXI you’ll have a daily dining credit to use as you please – you can even carry it over to the next day. There’s a trio of bars to choose from – a beach bar, pool bar and one in the lobby. All serve top-quality coffee and local herb-infused cocktails, with a line-up of DJ beats and live acts.
PLACES FLEXI meal plan includes buffet breakfast and either lunch or dinner. If you want to skip lunch or dinner, you can use your daily credit in the restaurant and bars whenever suits you. The restaurant serves a daily four-course menu from midday till 22:00, within the budget of your daily credit. A bracelet will be provided at check in, loaded with the credit. Unused credit from one day can be carried over to any of the following days of your stay. Any amount left at check out will not be reimbursed. If you spend all the credit before check out, you can use the bracelet as payment and all additional costs will be charged at check out.
